The National Scientific Agricultural Library of the National Academy of Sciences invites you to visit a book exhibition dedicated to the85th anniversary  of the birthday&nbsp ;Kulik Mykhailo Fedorovych – a scientist in the field of animal husbandry, animal feeding and the technology of harvesting and use of fodder, doctor of agricultural sciences, professor, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences. The exposition can be viewed in reading room No. 1.

 

Biographical information. Born February 21, 1937 in with. Deremezna of Obukhiv District, Kyiv Oblast.

In 1961, he graduated from the Ukrainian Agricultural Academy (now the National University of Bioresources and Nature Management of Ukraine) with the qualification of zootechnician scientist.</ p>

In 1964–1967 – graduate student of the Department of Animal Nutrition of the Ukrainian Agricultural Academy; 1967–1971 senior researcher; 1971– 1975 – head of the department of animal feeding and feed technology of the Research Institute of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry of the Western Regions of the Ukrainian SSR; 1961-1964 – head of the department of the regional state police station of the Ivano-Frankivsk region; 1975– 1991 – deputy director for scientific work of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Fodder and Agriculture Podillia of the National Academy of Sciences; 1991 and until now – head of the laboratory of fodder harvesting technologies of the Institute of Fodder and Agriculture of the Podillia National Academy of Sciences.

In 1967 he defended his candidate's thesis, and in 1984 – doctoral dissertation on the topic: «Physiological justification of the methods of effective use of bulky fodder, grain fodder and new synthetic additives in the feeding of agricultural animals».

Main areas of scientific activity – theoretical and experimental substantiation of the development of new technological techniques for harvesting silage, hay, hay and wet corn grain to increase nutrition and productive action when used in animal feeding.

In 1994, he was awarded the academic title of professor, in 1995 – elected a corresponding member of the Department of Zootechnics of the National Academy of Sciences. In 1997, he was awarded the honorary title – Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine. The author of 377 scientific works, including 30 monographs, 4 manuals for universities, as well as 122 utility model patents, including 4 invention patents. Under his scientific guidance, 24 candidates of the bachelor's degree program prepared and defended their theses. Sciences and 2 doctors of science and technology. Sciences.

M.F. Kulyk – laureate of the prize of the Cabinet of Ministers of the former USSR (1988) for the development of technology for harvesting wet grain and corn cobs and their effective use in animal feeding.

The criterion for evaluating all technological processes based on the balance between the total amount of energy spent on feed production and its output in animal husbandry products is described.</i >

The monograph summarizes data on the scientific foundations of feed nutritional assessment and justification of new assessment methods based on milk production.

The monograph summarizes literary data on balancing the mineral nutrition of dairy cows, as well as the results of own research on the norms of the need for mineral elements for dairy cows.</ span>
