The National Scientific Agricultural Library of the National Academy of Sciences invites you to visit the thematic book exhibition «Sunflower: production and processing» , which started functioning in reading room No. 1.

The exhibition presents 29 editions – monographs, training manuals, recommendations covering issues related to the cultivation, production and processing of sunflower seeds in Ukraine.

The monograph analyzes the physico-mechanical properties of sunflower oil raw materials, provides technical means of post-harvest processing of agricultural crops and the results of research on pneumatic sieve and pneumatic gravity devices. An analysis of sunflower seed production in Ukraine is presented.

The monograph summarizes the scientific results regarding the complex processing of sunflower seeds with the production of edible oil, a food protein product and a natural plant antioxidant thanks to the introduction of the latest extraction technologies using an alternative solvent – ethyl alcohol.
